Dr. Sievert graduated Cum Laude from University of Miami (Coral Gables, FL) with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. During that time, she was inducted into The Iron Arrow Honor Society, “the highest honor attainable at the University of Miami”. She received her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine (Miami, FL), during which time she also served as the Student President of the Medical School. She completed her residency in OB/GYN at Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond, VA), where she was elected Chief Resident by the staff and received various awards, including “Best Teaching Resident.” Upon completion of her residency, she joined North Florida OB/GYN. Sayra met her husband, Paul, in medical school and upon completing their residencies they relocated to Jacksonville where Paul grew up. Sayra then joined North Florida OB/GYN and began her career in private practice. Paul currently practices gastroenterology with The University of Florida.
Sayra and Paul have three children, (Ben, Mallorie and Zach) who keep them busy at many sporting activities. Sayra’s personal interests include playing tennis, painting, volunteering at the school, watching movies, and playing with her children. She is also fluent in Spanish.
