Marijane Q. Boyd, PhD, MD

Dr. Boyd received her medical degree in 1988 from the University of Miami School of Medicine where she was elected to the National Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). She trained in Internal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina and was an Emergency Room physician in Orlando, Florida. Residency was completed in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida Health Science Center where she was an Administrative Chief Resident and winner of the Research Symposium in 1994. She joined North Florida OB/GYN Assoc. in 1999.
She has special interest and expertise in menopausal hormone therapy, holding both Master’s degree (University of Maryland) and PH. D. in Anatomy and Cellular Biology (University of Miami) with published research. As a gynecologic surgeon, she offers Laparoscopic Gynecologic Surgery, as well as the latest in Minimally Invasive techniques for Endometrial Ablation, Tubal Ligations, and Urinary Incontinence procedures.
Her practice offers “Boutique” Gynecologic care for women that includes Laser Light Hair Removal and Photofacial Skin Rejuvenation in the privacy and safety of the medical office. A line of medical, pharmaceutical grade skin care products is also available.
Dr. Boyd is married with one daughter, one cat and one dog. Hobbies include Working Women’s Tennis League and anywhere there is water – motor boating, sail boats, whitewater rafting, canoeing, windsurfing or body surfing.
