Board Certified – American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology
Dr. Gillespie graduated, Summa Cum Laude, from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI with a B.S. in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Mathematics. She received her Medical Degree from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA.
While at the University of Miami, Dr. Gillespie was active in mentorship and teaching programs by lecturing on basic OB/GYN and proctoring simulations for medical students and interns as part of their clerkships and boot camps. She also contributed to the Dept. of Community Service by assisting medical students in the development of their clinical skills at after-hours clinics and health fairs. She hosted question and answer panels and helped to organize suturing workshops at the Medical Student Session at the Annual District Meeting of the American Congress of OB/GYN in Orlando.
Some of her other volunteer services include volunteering at a safe house for survivors of Human Trafficking and at the Citizenship Clinic where assistance is provided to permanent residents applying for citizenship. She also served on the Healthy Start Fundraising Committee of the American Congress of OB/GYN.
Dr. Gillespie’s interests include playing the piano, doing CrossFit, and, most of all, spending time with her family and close friends. She and her husband, Dr. Nigel Gillespie, look forward to moving closer to friends and family in the Jacksonville area where she anticipates being visited often by her parents and two younger sisters!
