James K. Chafin, MD
Board Certified – American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology
Dr. Chafin received his medical degree from University of Kansas, and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida Health Science Center (Jacksonville, FL) in 1985, after which he went private practice. He joined North Florida OB/GYN in 1997.
In addition to OB/GYN, his areas of expertise include Ultrasound, Minimally Invasive Surgical Procedures, including: Endometrial Ablation; Essure (tubal ligation by hysteroscopy) and Sling Procedures for Urinary Incontinence; Pelvic Floor Reconstructive Surgery using the Prolife System; Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeries, such as the Laparoscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy and Laparoscopically Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy. Also, he provides In-office Bladder and Incontinence Testing as well as the new state-of-the-art 3D/4D Ultrasound, an incredibly life-like “first portrait” of your baby.
Dr. Chafin’s hobbies include boating and fishing.
