Dr. Cody received his medical degree from University of Tennessee College of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in OB/GYN at Portsmouth Naval Hospital (Portsmouth, VA). Following residency, he joined the medical staff at the Naval Hospital (Okinawa, Japan), where he served for three years, subsequently becoming Department Head.  In 1990, Dr. Cody was transferred to Naval Air Station – Jacksonville (Jacksonville, FL), where he became Department Head of the OB/GYN Division. He began private practice in 1991, and joined North Florida OB/GYN in 1999. 

He and his wife, Betty Ann, have a son. Dr. Cody enjoys photography, golf, traveling, movies and teaching residents and medical students.
