Lindsay DeNicola Foutz, MD
Board Eligible – American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology
Dr. Foutz is a Jacksonville native, who graduated from Stanton College Prep in 1997. Her mother, Joanne DeNicola, recently retired as the Cleft Lip & Palate Nurse Coordinator for Nemours Children’s Clinic while her father, Lucian DeNicola, continues his practice of Critical Care Pediatrics at Shands. Her only brother, Drew, the more creative of the two, produces documentary films and is living in New York City.
Dr. Foutz graduated from Duke University in 2001 with a BS degree and a minor in Women’s Studies. She then attended the University of Miami School of Medicine where she was heavily involved in community service, traveling to Haiti as one of their many projects. Dr. Foutz is an honored member of Iron Arrow.
During her time in Miami, Dr. Foutz met her fun-loving husband, Erik Foutz, a Fernandina Beach resident, and the two were married in October 2009. They recently spent four wonderful years in Chicago where Lindsay completed her OB/GYN residency at Rush University Medical Center and Erik worked as a Surgical ICU nurse at the University of Chicago.
After graduating in 2010, the happy couple chose to return to their family, friends, and the warm Florida weather where Dr. Foutz enthusiastically joined Drs. Barnes, Boyd, McIntyre and Sager at Baptist Divison I, and has since loved the beginning of her new OB/GYN career. The group now warmly welcomes the addition of Dr. Gutovitz and Dr. Wechter to complete their professional family. Erik Foutz will soon be completing the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) program at UNF after which the two are looking forward to expanding their personal family as well.
Dr. Foutz enjoys all aspects of her Generalist OB/GYN practice, but has a particular fondness for adolescents, new mothers, and first pregnancies. Her academic interests include infertility and minimally invasive surgery. Baptist Division I specializes in the care of high risk pregnancies.
