Board Certified – American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. Kristin Fernandez received her medical degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, Iowa and received her internship and residency training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.  She has been in private practice in the Jacksonville area since 1998.

Dr. Fernandez is Board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.  Her expertise is in the area of adolescent and adult gynecology.
Including advanced laparoscopy and other non-invasive alternatives to hysterectomies.

She also offers some medical procedures that were once only available in the hospital
that now can be easily performed in the office. Such as the Novasure Ablation which helps to eliminate heavy periods and the Essure sterilization which is a great alternative to a surgical tubal ligation.
