Dr. Acholonu received his medical degree from SUNY Health Science Center (Brooklyn, NY), and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at State University – Kings County Hospital (Brooklyn, NY). He has been in private practice in Jacksonville since 1987, and joined North Florida OB/GYN in 1999.

Dr. Acholonu is married and has four children. His hobbies include photography, swimming and tennis.
