Dr. Gutovitz was born in Wichita, Kansas and grew up in the Kansas City area. She attended college at the University of Kansas and is a big Jayhawk basketball fan. After working as a flight attendant for two years, Dr. Gutovitz received her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine (Kansas City, KA). Besides discovering her love for women's health, she also discovered and married the love of her life, Scott.
The doctors then moved to Florida for Dr. Gutovitz to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Orlando Regional Medical Center (the other Dr. Gutovitz completed his residency in Emergency Medicine).
After residency, Dr. Gutovitz worked as a locums doctor in New Zealand for nine months before returning to the Kansas City area. After two winters in the Midwest, the Florida sun beckened Dr. Gutovitz back to Florida. She is very happy about joining the North Florida OB/GYN team.
Dr. Gutovitz takes a special interest in high risk obstetrics, infertility, and minimally invasive surgery. She feels that knowledge is power is dedicated to providing patients with education and the opportunity to participate in their health care decisions
Dr. Gutovitz and her husband, Scott, have two little boys, Owen and Isaac. Dr. Gutovitz enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading and sports. She has a creative side that she expresses with paint, cake decorating, or other fun art projects. She has been known to run (even if not being chased) and completed her first marathon just before starting with NF OB/GYN. A triathlon may be in her future. Of course, her greatest passion is her kids.
